Reactoonz 100 Slot Overview

Reactoonz 100 is Play'n GO's latest entry in their growing "100" series, joining the likes of Moon Princess 100 and Rise of Olympus 100. It runs on a 7x7 grid with Cluster Pays, so you need five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically to land a win. The big addition here is a progressive multiplier that can climb all the way to 100x, which is what separates it from the original Reactoonz.

I'd been curious about this one since the original was such a proper favourite of mine years back. Visually, Play'n GO have given it a nice galactic facelift; the background is much more spacey now, with planets and asteroids floating about. Gargantoon snoozes in a jar on the right side of the grid, and a new multiplier trail sits on the left. Same charming one-eyed and two-eyed Toonz crowd the grid, though, so it still feels familiar. RTP sits at 96.20%, volatility is high, and max win is 10,000x your stake.

Symbols and Paytable

Eight colourful Toonz make up the paytable, split into two groups. Four one-eyed creatures are the low pays, ranging from 0.05x to 0.2x for a cluster of five, and topping out between 15x and 75x for clusters of 15 or more. Four two-eyed Toonz handle the high pays, with the Pink Two-Eyed Toon being the best of the lot at 0.5x for five and a proper 500x for 15+.

Wilds show up as a fiery black hole and substitute for everything. They can never be selected as the Energized Toon and are not affected by Quantum Features. Worth mentioning that the top symbol's 15+ payout has actually dropped compared to the original; it used to be 750x. That said, the new multiplier system more than makes up for it in terms of overall win potential.

Bonus Features Breakdown

Every winning cluster triggers the Cascading Reels mechanic. Winning symbols vanish and new ones drop in from above, giving you another crack at a win. Each cascade also feeds winning symbols into the Quantum Charger meter. Collect 25 symbols and one of four random features gets queued: Implosion turns 3 to 6 symbols into Wilds and blasts their neighbours; Incision drops a Wild in the centre with two diagonal lines of matching symbols; Demolition clears all one-eyed symbols off the grid; and Alteration morphs one symbol type into another.

Fill all five meter levels, collecting 125 symbols total, and Gargantoon himself wakes up. He starts as 8 individual Wilds scattered across the grid, then merges into two 2x2 Wilds, and finally becomes one massive 3x3 Wild. Getting there does take patience; you need proper consecutive wins across a single spin. On top of that, the Instability feature can rescue dead spins by dropping 4 to 8 Wilds onto the grid when nothing connects. The Fluctuation mechanic highlights a one-eyed symbol each spin, and if it wins, two extra Wilds spawn.

Now the real star: the Energized Toon multiplier. Once the multiplier reaches x2, a random symbol gets tagged as Energized on each cascade. Any cluster containing that symbol gets multiplied by the current value. One-eyed wins bump the multiplier by +1 and two-eyed wins by +3, and it can reach 100x. Only clusters with the Energized Toon benefit from it, mind you, and it resets after the round. Still, when it lines up properly, the payouts can be massive.

RTP, Volatility and Max Win

Default RTP is 96.20%, though operators can also set it at 94.20%, 91.20%, 87.20% or 84.20%, so always check what your casino is running. Volatility is rated high with a 10 out of 10 score, meaning long dry spells are part of the deal. Hit frequency is 53.47% though, which is decent; you do get regular small wins to keep your balance ticking over.

Max win is 10,000x your bet. That is roughly double what the original Reactoonz could pay, thanks to the new multiplier. Bets run from 0.10 to 100 per spin, so it suits most budgets. Fair warning: high volatility means the big wins are rare, and I found the base game can drag a bit between feature activations.

Ryan Cole’s Verdict

Final Verdict

Reactoonz 100 is a solid remake that keeps what made the original great while bolting on a proper multiplier system. The cascading wins still feel moreish, the Quantum Features queue up nicely, and watching Gargantoon evolve across the grid is still a thrill. I'm not entirely sold on the predictable nature of the Gargantoon cycle after extended play, and the complexity might put off anyone new to grid slots.

For a casual session though, it does the job. The visuals are a nice step up from the 2017 original, and the 53% hit frequency keeps things from feeling completely barren. Not every spin will feel rewarding, but when the multiplier gets going alongside the Quantum Features, there is genuine excitement. If you enjoyed the original or any of the Toonz family games, this is well worth a look. Just manage your bankroll, mate; high volatility is no joke.

Reactoonz 100 FAQ
How does the Energized Toon multiplier work in Reactoonz 100?
Once the multiplier reaches x2, a random symbol is selected as the Energized Toon on each cascade. Any winning cluster that includes it gets multiplied by the current value. One-eyed symbol wins increase it by +1 and two-eyed by +3, up to a maximum of 100x.
What triggers the Gargantoon and how does it behave?
You need to charge the Quantum Meter five times by collecting 125 winning symbols in a single round. The fifth feature is always Gargantoon. He appears as 8 individual Wilds, then becomes two 2x2 Wilds, and finally a single 3x3 Wild.
How do the Quantum Features get queued and released?
Every 25 winning symbols charge one level of the Quantum Meter, queuing a random feature from Implosion, Incision, Demolition, or Alteration. These features trigger automatically once no more cascading wins are possible.
What changed from the original Reactoonz to Reactoonz 100?
The main addition is the progressive multiplier up to 100x via the Energized Toon. The Giantoonz feature from the original has been removed. The Gargantoon now evolves from smaller Wilds into larger ones rather than the reverse. Max win has doubled to 10,000x.
Does Reactoonz 100 have a bonus buy option?
No, there is no bonus buy feature in Reactoonz 100. All features are triggered organically through cascading wins and charging the Quantum Meter during regular gameplay.
