The Green Knight: Slot Overview
The Green Knight is a 5x3, 20-payline slot from Play'n GO built around massive wild multipliers. It runs on a medieval Arthurian theme, but from my side the real story is the maths. Default RTP is 96.27%, max win is 10,000x, and the whole game lives or dies on whether those multiplier wilds connect.
Base stakes run from 0.10 to 100, so it can handle a proper bankroll. Volatility is high to medium-high depending on the source, and that fits what I see. The base game can drag a bit, dead patches are real, and serious players are mostly here for the bonus sequence with progressive multipliers.
The Green Knight Symbols and Paytable
5 reels, 20 fixed lines, left-to-right pay evaluation. Low symbols are 10, J, Q, K and A, paying 2x to 4x for five of a kind. Premiums are the battleaxe, horse, lady and Sir Gawain, with five matching symbols paying from 7.5x to 25x. That paytable is fine, but on its own it is not enough to justify aggressive staking.
Wilds are the real value. A regular wild substitutes for pay symbols and can also land with multipliers of x2, x5, x10, x25 or x100. Five regular wilds pay 100x, while five x100 multiplier wilds hit the full 10,000x cap. That tells you everything about where the ceiling sits, line hits with boosted wilds or nothing.

The Green Knight: Slot Features
Central to the game are multiplier wilds. In the base game, wilds can appear with x2, x5, x10, x25 or x100, and if they help complete a win, the multiplier applies to the line payout. Randomly seeing x100 in the base game is the whole reason to keep spinning, though it does not happen often enough to smooth the ride.
Free spins trigger with 3, 4 or 5 scatters, paying 2.5x, 5x or 100x stake and awarding 5 free spins. Every free spin guarantees a multiplier wild, and the values step up by spin, x2, x5, x10, x25 and x100. For bonus hunters, that structure is clean and readable. You know the last spin has the best shot.
Shield Spins are the stronger layer. If 2 scatters land during free spins, 5 Shield Spins start and the current multiplier is locked for all five spins. Then any remaining free spins resume. That nested feature is where the session can flip. I still have one issue, sources mention a Bonus Buy, but none gives a price, so I cannot call the buy fair value.
Bonus Buy Options
Land 3, 4, or 5 scatters anywhere to win 5 free spins and scatter payouts of 2.5x, 5x, or 100x. Each free spin has a guaranteed wild multiplier that rises through x2, x5, x10, x25, and x100.
Land 2 scatters during free spins to trigger 5 Shield Spins. The current wild multiplier is locked for all 5 Shield Spins, then any remaining free spins continue.
A bonus buy option is mentioned in demo versions of the game, but no price is stated in the reviewed sources.
The Green Knight: Slot Verdict
96.27% is the top RTP, but operators can run lower versions, including 94.25% and worse. I would not touch a reduced RTP setup on a high-volatility slot like this. It already has enough dead air. With a proper bankroll and the right RTP, the game is playable. Without that, the base game bleed gets expensive fast.
10,000x is decent, not elite. For serious players, that is the key problem. The volatility asks for patience, but the ceiling is not large enough to fully reward the pain. Reviews even note the max exposure is around 1 in 55,555,555 spins. I can respect the structure, but the ceiling is too low for this variance if your only goal is monster upside.
