Honestly, I think Rise of Athena is one for players who like old-school slots with not much faff. It has high-volatility pacing, a clean design, and multiplier wilds that can pop off properly when the reels behave. The 5,000x max win gives it enough upside to stay interesting too.
My only real issue is that the base game can drag a bit, and the bonus doesn't always feel stronger than a good line hit in the main game. So yeah, I had a decent time with it, but not everyone will. For a relaxed session with simple rules and a bit of bite, it's alright. For nonstop features, probably not your slot.
