Reactoonz 2 Overview
Reactoonz 2 is the sequel to one of Play'n GO's most popular grid slots, and honestly, I can see why people were buzzing about it. Same 7x7 grid, same lovable googly-eyed alien critters, but with a few extra tricks thrown in. Released back in October 2020, it uses Cluster Pays instead of paylines, so you need clusters of five or more matching symbols to score a win.
What makes this one different from the original is the dual meter system. You've got the Fluctometer and the Quantumeter working together, plus four types of wilds instead of the old random features. It feels like Play'n GO took everything from the first game and gave it a proper polish. My first impression? Familiar enough to feel comfortable, but different enough to keep me interested.

Symbols and Paytable
Eight alien creatures make up the regular paytable, split into one-eyed low payers and two-eyed high payers. Clusters of 15 or more matching symbols are where the real money sits, ranging from 3x to 500x your stake. The pink alien is the top payer at 500x for a full cluster. Decent numbers, though individual symbol payouts aren't massive on their own.
Four wild types add the real spice here. Uncharged Wilds appear after cascades but sit dormant until a win happens next to them, then they transform into Electric Wilds. Electric Wilds substitute for everything and zap surrounding symbols off the grid. Energoon Wilds come from the Quantumeter at lower levels, while the mighty Gargantoon Wild is the big prize; a 3x3 beast that splits into smaller wilds through cascades.

Bonus Features and Meters
Everything revolves around Cascading Wins. Land a cluster, winning symbols disappear, new ones drop in. Simple enough. But each cascade feeds into the two meters on the right side of the screen, and that's where things get properly exciting.
The Fluctometer picks a random one-eyed symbol each spin. Win with that symbol and the meter charges up. Fill it completely and you get 1 to 3 Electric Wilds dropped onto the grid. Those Electric Wilds then do the heavy lifting for the Quantumeter, because every non-wild symbol they zap counts as a charge. Collect 55 charges for four small Energoon Wilds, 85 for a 2x2 Energoon, 110 for the massive 3x3 Gargantoon, and 135 to add a 2x multiplier on top of everything. The Gargantoon then splits into two 2x2 wilds after a cascade, which break into nine 1x1 wilds. Proper chain reaction stuff.
There's also the Wild Pair Explosion. If two or more Electric Wilds remain after all features resolve, symbols between or around them get destroyed. Doesn't pay out directly, but it charges the Quantumeter further. I'll be honest, the rules read like a science textbook. My advice? Just spin the demo for ten minutes and it clicks much faster than reading about it.
Bonus Buy Options
RTP, Volatility, and Max Win
RTP sits at 96.2% on the default setting, which is fair. Watch out though; some casinos run a lower 94.2% version thanks to RTP ranges, so always check before playing with real cash. Volatility is high at 8 out of 10, meaning your balance can swing about a lot between those bigger hits.
Max win is 5,083x your stake. Not the biggest you'll ever see, but Play'n GO actually bumped this up from an originally planned 3,000x after player feedback. No separate free spins round exists here; everything happens in the base game through the meter system.
