Love Joker Slot Overview

Love Joker is the twelfth game in Play'n GO's long-running Joker series, and honestly, the fact they've kept this franchise going that long says something. I loaded it up expecting the usual old-school fruit machine vibe, and that's exactly what I got. A 3x3 grid, 5 paylines, burgundy reels on a purple background, and classic fruit symbols all over the place.

Bets start from just 5p and go up to 100 quid, so it's proper accessible whether you're just killing time or playing a bit more seriously. Medium volatility, 96.2% RTP. The main draw is the Love Spins feature, which is a Hold and Win style bonus triggered by the Love Joker himself landing on the middle reel. Simple stuff, but that's the whole point of these Joker slots.

Symbols and Paytable

Five regular symbols make up the paytable and they are all classic fruit machine fare: cherries, lemons, plums, single 7s and double 7s. You need three matching symbols across a payline to win. Cherries and lemons pay 1x your stake, plums pay 2x, single 7s pay 4x, and the double 7s are the best at 10x. Not massive numbers by any stretch.

Here's the thing, there's no wild symbol at all. So you cannot rely on a wild to help complete paylines for you. The only special symbol is the Love Joker scatter on the middle reel, which kicks off the bonus feature. It's a barebones paytable and the base game can drag a bit because of it. You're basically spinning and hoping for the joker to show up.

Love Spins and Golden Heart Collector

When the Love Joker symbol lands on the middle reel, the Love Spins feature triggers. All regular fruit symbols disappear and only hearts, golden hearts, or blanks can land on the reels. As long as at least one heart shows up per spin, the re-spins keep going. So it has that Hold and Win feel where you're crossing your fingers each spin.

Hearts get collected in the Heart Collector meter above the grid. Every 5 hearts you collect moves the prize bar up a level. Golden hearts are even better; they go into the Golden Heart Collector, which doubles all the values on the prize bar and bumps it up a level too. Reaching the top level can pay up to 1,000x your stake.

Sounds decent on paper, but landing golden hearts seemed pretty tough from what I saw. The max win overall is around 1,008x the stake. For some players that will be fine; for others it might feel a bit underwhelming. No bonus buy option either, so you just have to wait it out.

Love Spins (Love Re-Spins)
Triggered when the Love Joker symbol lands on the middle reel. All regular symbols are removed and only hearts, golden hearts and blanks can appear. The feature continues as long as at least one heart lands per spin. Hearts fill the Heart Collector meter, and every 5 hearts advance the prize bar to the next level.

Golden hearts are collected in a separate meter during Love Spins. Each golden heart doubles all prize bar values and advances the prize bar to the next level. Reaching the highest level can award up to 1,000x the bet.

RTP, Volatility and Max Win

RTP sits at 96.2% by default, which is a touch above average. Fair enough. Do keep in mind though that some operators can run lower RTP versions, reportedly dropping into the mid-80s, so always check. Volatility is medium, rated 5 out of 10 by Play'n GO, so wins come along at a reasonable pace without too many painful dry spells.

Max win is 1,008x your stake. For a medium volatility slot that's not bad, but compared to other games in the Joker series like Ice Joker at 3,000x, it does feel a bit tame. The max win probability is roughly 1 in 100,000 spins, which is actually decent odds compared to a lot of high-volatility games.

💬 What Players Say
Most reviewers see it as a simple, no-frills slot suited to casual play, but note the base game grind is tedious and previous Joker titles offered more excitement. Based on 4 reviews.

Final Verdict

Love Joker is about as straightforward as slots get. No wild, no complex mechanics, just a 3x3 fruit machine with one bonus feature. I wouldn't say it blew me away, and earlier Joker entries like Fire Joker or Fire Joker Freeze definitely felt more exciting. But if you want something dead simple for a quick, relaxed session without thinking too hard, it does the job.

Mate, if you're already a fan of the Joker series you'll probably spin this for a bit regardless. For everyone else, it's a decent enough budget slot with a clever heart-collecting mechanic. Just don't go in expecting big thrills or massive payouts. It's a casual, no-fuss game and nothing more than that.

Love Joker FAQ
How does the Love Spins feature trigger in Love Joker?
The Love Joker scatter symbol needs to land on the middle reel. When it does, all regular symbols are removed and you get re-spins with only hearts, golden hearts and blanks on the reels. The re-spins continue as long as at least one heart lands per spin.
What does the Golden Heart Collector do?
Golden hearts are collected in a separate meter during Love Spins. Each golden heart doubles all the values on the prize bar and also advances it to the next level, so they are much more valuable than regular silver hearts.
Is there a wild symbol in Love Joker?
No, there is no wild symbol at all. You can only win by landing three matching regular symbols across a payline or by triggering the Love Spins bonus feature.
What is the maximum you can win from the heart collecting feature?
Reaching the highest level on the prize bar through collecting hearts and golden hearts can pay up to 1,000x your stake. The overall max win for the slot is 1,008x including the Love Joker trigger payout of 2x.
How does Love Joker compare to other slots in the Joker series?
Love Joker has a lower max win than several other Joker games. Fire Joker tops out at 800x and Ice Joker goes up to 3,000x with more varied features. Love Joker is simpler and more stripped back, which suits casual play but may feel less thrilling than other entries.
