Love Joker Slot Overview
Love Joker is the twelfth game in Play'n GO's long-running Joker series, and honestly, the fact they've kept this franchise going that long says something. I loaded it up expecting the usual old-school fruit machine vibe, and that's exactly what I got. A 3x3 grid, 5 paylines, burgundy reels on a purple background, and classic fruit symbols all over the place.
Bets start from just 5p and go up to 100 quid, so it's proper accessible whether you're just killing time or playing a bit more seriously. Medium volatility, 96.2% RTP. The main draw is the Love Spins feature, which is a Hold and Win style bonus triggered by the Love Joker himself landing on the middle reel. Simple stuff, but that's the whole point of these Joker slots.

Symbols and Paytable
Five regular symbols make up the paytable and they are all classic fruit machine fare: cherries, lemons, plums, single 7s and double 7s. You need three matching symbols across a payline to win. Cherries and lemons pay 1x your stake, plums pay 2x, single 7s pay 4x, and the double 7s are the best at 10x. Not massive numbers by any stretch.
Here's the thing, there's no wild symbol at all. So you cannot rely on a wild to help complete paylines for you. The only special symbol is the Love Joker scatter on the middle reel, which kicks off the bonus feature. It's a barebones paytable and the base game can drag a bit because of it. You're basically spinning and hoping for the joker to show up.

Love Spins and Golden Heart Collector
When the Love Joker symbol lands on the middle reel, the Love Spins feature triggers. All regular fruit symbols disappear and only hearts, golden hearts, or blanks can land on the reels. As long as at least one heart shows up per spin, the re-spins keep going. So it has that Hold and Win feel where you're crossing your fingers each spin.
Hearts get collected in the Heart Collector meter above the grid. Every 5 hearts you collect moves the prize bar up a level. Golden hearts are even better; they go into the Golden Heart Collector, which doubles all the values on the prize bar and bumps it up a level too. Reaching the top level can pay up to 1,000x your stake.
Sounds decent on paper, but landing golden hearts seemed pretty tough from what I saw. The max win overall is around 1,008x the stake. For some players that will be fine; for others it might feel a bit underwhelming. No bonus buy option either, so you just have to wait it out.

RTP, Volatility and Max Win
RTP sits at 96.2% by default, which is a touch above average. Fair enough. Do keep in mind though that some operators can run lower RTP versions, reportedly dropping into the mid-80s, so always check. Volatility is medium, rated 5 out of 10 by Play'n GO, so wins come along at a reasonable pace without too many painful dry spells.
Max win is 1,008x your stake. For a medium volatility slot that's not bad, but compared to other games in the Joker series like Ice Joker at 3,000x, it does feel a bit tame. The max win probability is roughly 1 in 100,000 spins, which is actually decent odds compared to a lot of high-volatility games.
