Game of Gladiators Uprising: Slot Overview
Game of Gladiators Uprising is a Roman arena slot from Play'n GO, built on a 5x4 layout with 30 fixed paylines. I get Spartacus on the left, Bellica on the right, and Emperor Gaius watching from above, so the whole setup leans hard into the battle theme. For chat, the key point is simple, three gladiator symbols run the game, and they act as both wilds and scatters.
Bets run from 0.05 to 100, RTP can range from 84.2% to 96.2% depending on version, and volatility is medium with a 6 out of 10 feel. That means I would expect a session with regular feature activity rather than a brutal dead-spin slog. If I'm honest with viewers, the theme is stronger than the raw base mechanics.
Slot Details
Wins land from left to right with 3 to 5 matching symbols on paylines. Low pays are J, Q, K and A, paying 1x to 1.4x the bet for five of a kind. Premiums are shackles, hammer or axe, mace or morning star, and helmet, paying 5x to 30x for five. The helmet is the top regular symbol.
Spartacus, Bellica and Emperor Gaius are the special symbols to watch. They substitute for regular pay symbols, they also work as scatters, and five on a payline can award 30x the stake. That gives the base game a decent amount of movement, though the paytable itself is fairly standard outside the gladiators.

Game of Gladiators Uprising: Slot Features
Landing a single gladiator symbol triggers Gladiator's Oath, which is a respin tied to that fighter's effect. Spartacus fires Legion Slash and adds 3 to 5 wilds. Bellica uses Full Strike and adds 1 or 2 full reel wilds. Emperor Gaius uses Emperor Strike and adds 2 or 3 x2 multiplier wilds, and only one multiplier applies per winning line.
Landing 2 different gladiator types triggers Champions of the Arena Free Spins. Before the round starts, I pick between Spartacus and Bellica in Guess the Victor, and a correct pick adds 5x the bet at the end if there is a winner. Free spins do not start with a fixed number, they continue until one gladiator loses all 3 lives, or until 100 spins are reached.
During the feature, each gladiator has 3 lives and a battle meter with 3 attack points. Collect 5 of the same gladiator symbol and that fills an attack point, triggers the related respin, and applies a random multiplier of x2, x5, x10 or x50. Each attack removes one life from the opponent. Gladiator symbols do not trigger another respin during respins, and they cannot be collected in those respins either.
Bonus Buy Options
Landing a single gladiator symbol triggers a respin with that gladiator's modifier. Spartacus adds 3 to 5 wilds, Bellica adds 1 or 2 full reel wilds, and Emperor Gaius adds 2 or 3 x2 multiplier wilds.
Champions of the Arena Free Spins
Triggered by landing 2 different types of gladiator symbols. Before it starts, players use Guess the Victor to choose Spartacus or Bellica, and a correct pick pays 5x the bet when there is a winner.
Feature Cost: No
Before free spins, players pick the winning gladiator. A correct choice awards 5x the bet unless the battle ends as a draw after the maximum number of spins.
Ryan Cole’s Verdict
Final Verdict
Released on 2023-01-26, Game of Gladiators Uprising feels like a sequel that leans more into presentation and the battle format than into loading the base game with extra layers. I like the free spins structure because it has a proper sense of progression, and chat gets something to follow with the life bars, attack points and the winner pick. I'd stream this for a medium-length session.
My only hesitation is that the three modifier types, on their own, are not wildly inventive. Added wilds, full reel wilds and x2 multiplier wilds can still connect into strong hits, especially when the bonus adds multipliers up to x50, but not everyone will love the medium-volatility pacing. Still, with a 6,000x max win and up to 100 bonus spins, it is worth a session if viewers like Roman themes and interactive bonuses.
