Coils of Cash Overview
Coils of Cash is a Play'n GO slot that plays on a 6-reel, 4-row grid with 2,304 ways to win. Straight away, it reminded me of a Megaways game because of the horizontal top reel and Cascading Wins. The theme is retro-industrial, full of old-timey electrical gear and buzzing machinery. Not the prettiest thing I have ever loaded up, but once the cascades start rolling and those multipliers kick in, it proper comes alive. Max win sits at a whopping 30,000x, which blew my mind for what looks like a fairly compact setup.
Symbols and Paytable
Low-paying symbols are your standard card values from 9 through A, paying up to about 0.8x to 1x the bet for a full six-of-a-kind way. Nothing exciting there. Premium symbols are four different pieces of retro machinery, and a full line of the best one pays 4x your stake.
Wild appears as a glowing blue "W" and it only shows up on the Power Coil top reel above reels 2 to 5. Scatters look like orbs of blue energy and can land anywhere. On their own the paytable values seem modest, but the whole point is those multipliers stacking on top. A decent cascade chain with charged-up coils can turn a small base win into something serious.
Symbol Payouts
Power Coil and Cascading Wins
Every winning combo gets removed from the grid, new symbols drop in, and you keep going until there are no more wins. Standard cascading stuff, feels smooth. Above reels 2 through 5 sits the Power Coil, four extra positions each with a multiplier starting at 1x. Every cascade bumps the relevant reel multiplier up by 1, maxing out at 5x each.
Here is where it gets spicy. These multipliers multiply each other when part of the same winning way. So if you had 5x on all four positions, that is 5 times 5 times 5 times 5, giving you a combined 625x boost. In the base game these reset once your cascade sequence finishes, which is a bit disappointing. Still, even catching two or three of them at 3x or 4x during a good run feels electric.
I will say the base game can drag a bit between decent cascade chains. High volatility means you sit through plenty of dead spins before things click. Patience is required, mate.
Bonus Buy Options
Land 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatters to trigger 10, 15, 20 or 25 free spins. Power Coil multipliers do not reset between spins. Each additional Scatter during the round awards 2 extra free spins.
Free Spins Feature
Land 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatters and you get 10, 15, 20 or 25 Free Spins respectively. Decent range. Every scatter that lands during the round adds 2 extra spins on top.
Big difference from the base game is that Power Coil multipliers do not reset between free spins. They carry over and keep building. So you can realistically push all four positions towards that 5x cap and start landing wins with the full 625x multiplier applied. That is where the 30,000x max win lives, and honestly it is what makes the whole slot worth your time.
RTP and Volatility
Default RTP is 96.20%, which is fair enough for a high-volatility game. Be careful though, because operators can pick from lower versions at 94.20%, 91.20%, 87.20% or even 84.20%. Always check your version before committing real money. Bets range from 0.10 up to 100 per spin, so casual players and bigger spenders are both covered.
