Rabid Randy is NetEnt's October 2024 release built on the bones of Rome The Golden Age. Same core engine, new skin: a grim American forest, a deranged hunter and animals that look chemically altered. The grid is a diamond-shaped 3-4-5-4-3 with 20 fixed paylines, default RTP 96.06% and high volatility.
I'll be blunt. This is a reskin with a chopped ceiling. The original ran at 100,000x; Rabid Randy caps at 19,000x. The Frame mechanic, the Collect Meter and the 1,000x multiplier chase are all carried over. If you liked the older slot, the math here will feel familiar; if you didn't, this won't change your mind.
Symbols and Paytable
Five animals carry the premium pay table. Bear tops out at 5x for five of a kind, then Boar and Fox at 2.5x, Rat and Squirrel at 1.2x. Royals 10-A are crafted from tied bones and pay between 0.4x and 0.9x for fives. Pay symbols pay 0.1x to 5x. Slim numbers, as expected for a multiplier-driven game.
Wild only appears through Active Frame conversions, never on the natural reels, and a five-of-a-kind line of Wilds is worth 5x the bet. The Rabid Randy Scatter only lands on reels 2, 3 and 4 and exists purely to trigger Free Spins, no scatter pays.

Bonus Features
Three connected systems drive this slot. Paw symbols leave trap-shaped Frames on their position. A random Hot Paw charges its Frame into an Active Frame, which on the next spin turns into a Wild and converts adjacent Framed positions into Wilds too. Frames stick until they convert or until Free Spins start.
Each Paw also feeds the Collect Meter: 1 point on an empty position, 1 to 4 points on a Framed position. Every 200 points pushes the Free Spins Multiplier one tier up the ladder: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 75, 100, 200, 300, 500, 750, 1,000x.
