Gods of Gold InfiniReels Overview
Gods of Gold InfiniReels is a high-volatility slot from NetEnt that starts you off on a compact 3x3 grid with 27 ways to win. Every time you land a win, an extra reel gets tacked on, and the ways triple. There's no cap on how many reels can appear, which is what the InfiniReels mechanic is all about. Bets range from 0.20 to 100 per spin, and the max win sits at 25,000x your stake.
Rather than the usual Egyptian or Greek gods theme, NetEnt went with ancient Mesopotamia here. Gold coins and treasures fill the background, and you've got these grim-looking mythological characters on the reels alongside coloured gem stones. There's a dramatic oriental soundtrack as well. Looks proper fancy, I'll give it that.

Symbols and Paytable
Four gem symbols in blue, jade, purple and red make up the low payers. A three-of-a-kind with any of these gives you just 0.1x your bet, and a five-of-a-kind ranges from 0.15x to 0.6x. Not much on their own, but payouts double for each extra symbol beyond five, and that's where the InfiniReels mechanic starts to matter.
Premium symbols are four undead mythological figures: an owl, an ox, a Babylonian queen and a king. Three of a kind pays between 0.25x and 1.25x, while five of a kind goes from 1x to 5x. Again, payouts double with every additional matching symbol on new reels. Wild symbols only show up from the fourth reel onwards and substitute for all regular pays. A golden sun scatter triggers the bonus round.

Bonus Features
Core to the gameplay is the InfiniReels mechanic. Every win locks the winning symbols in place and adds a new reel, tripling the win ways each time. The grid resets to 3x3 once the sequence ends. NetEnt added a handy Minimap at the bottom so you can track what's happening, plus a Symbol Counter on the right showing how many ways each combo has. Quite helpful when things get busy.
Two random features can pop up during base game or bonus. Multi-Slam adds 2 or 3 reels at once instead of just one, with a guaranteed win attached. The Respin feature kicks in when the latest reel doesn't produce a match; it respins that reel for a guaranteed win, keeping the sequence alive.
Landing 3 scatter symbols triggers 10 Win Spins, plus 5 extra for each additional scatter. Every single free spin guarantees a winning combo, which sounds brilliant. Bit of a catch though: the minimum payout per spin is only 0.1x your bet, so some of those guaranteed wins barely register. The round can be retriggered, and the grid resets to 3x3 after each spin.

RTP and Volatility
RTP is 96.21%, which is decent and roughly average for a NetEnt slot. Volatility is high, so expect dry patches between the bigger wins. According to test data, 5,000x was hit about once every 16 million spins, 10,000x once in 145 million, and the 25,000x cap happened roughly once in 11 billion spins. So yeah, those top wins are proper rare. No bonus buy option either, so you just have to grind it out.
