Hot Chilli Bells 100 Overview
Hot Chilli Bells 100 is a Christmas-themed fruit slot from BGaming, built on a 5x4 grid with 100 fixed paylines. Released on 25 November 2025, it re-packages the original Hot Chilli Bells in a holiday setting, adding a Chance X2 bet modifier and locking the payline count at 100. From a math perspective, the 97% RTP and medium-high volatility profile sit in a comfortable zone for extended sessions.
I find the theme combination puzzling; chilli peppers and Christmas stockings share no obvious logic. Still, the numbers tell you this is a competent release: 13.19% hit frequency, a 5,000x max win, and a Hold and Win bonus with multiplier spots up to x15. Bets range from 0.20 to 50, so it covers most bankroll sizes without issue.

Symbols and Paytable
Eight regular symbols split into two tiers. Low pays are cherry, lemon, grapes, orange, and watermelon, each returning between x1.5 and x2 for a five-of-a-kind line. High pays are BAR, Star, and the 7 symbol. Five sevens award x10, which is the top regular payout. Notably, the 7 pays from just two matching symbols at x0.1, a small but frequent return that contributes to that 13.19% hit rate.
Scatter is a blue diamond paying anywhere on the reels: x3 for three, x20 for four, x100 for five. That five-Scatter hit is significant at 100x the total bet in a single award. Wild appears as a red chilli and only lands on reels 2, 3, and 4, where it expands to cover the full reel. Bonus is a golden bell; six or more of these trigger the Hold and Win round.

Special Features and Slot Mechanics
Hold and Win is the centrepiece. Land 6+ golden bell Bonus Symbols and you receive 3 respins. All triggering bells lock in place. Only blanks and additional bells appear during the round; each new bell resets the respin counter to 3. Before the feature begins, 3 multiplier spots (possible values: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, or 15x) are placed on empty positions. If a bell lands on a multiplier spot, that value applies to the bell's cash prize.
A progress bar tracks locked bells. Fill 15 positions and a 2x total multiplier hits all winnings. Reach 20 positions and that jumps to 3x. From a math perspective, the combination of individual multiplier spots and the progress bar multiplier is where the 5,000x cap becomes reachable.
Chance X2 costs an extra 50% on top of your bet and increases the probability of triggering the bonus. Bonus Buy skips the wait entirely at 60x the bet with a stated 97% RTP. I ran some rough EV calculations: at 60x cost and 97% return, the buy is mathematically fair relative to the base game RTP. However, the variance per purchased round is considerable, so not everyone will enjoy the swings.

Volatility, RTP, and Win Potential
97% RTP is genuinely strong; most slots in this category sit around 95-96%. Medium-high volatility means you should expect stretches of dead spins between payouts, but the 13.19% hit frequency softens the blow compared to truly high-volatility models. On average, the bonus triggers every 118.6 spins organically. That is roughly 1 in 119 spins, which is moderate for a Hold and Win mechanic.
Max win caps at 5,000x. I would have liked to see a higher ceiling given the volatility rating. Competitors in this space often push to 10,000x or beyond. For a holiday seasonal slot, though, the maths model is solid and the RTP compensates for the conservative cap.
