Forgotten Slot Overview
Forgotten is a horror-themed slot from BGaming, released right before Halloween 2024. It runs on a classic 5x3 grid with 10 paylines, and underneath the creepy wrapping it follows the familiar Book of format. You are wandering through an abandoned family home full of worn-out childhood toys, and the whole thing has a proper indie-horror vibe with jumpscares and eerie music.
I was genuinely surprised by the production quality here. Most Book of games feel copy-pasted with a different skin, but BGaming clearly put effort into the visuals and storytelling. RTP sits at 96.89%, volatility is high, and the max win is 7500x your bet. Not bad on paper.

Symbols and Paytable
Lower-paying symbols are bleaker, more worn-out toys: footballs, Rubik's cubes, spinning tops, cars, and stacking toys. Five of a kind with any of these pays between 10x and 15x your bet. Nothing to write home about, but they do land fairly often with a hit rate around 29.2%.
Higher-paying symbols are the brighter, more characterful plush toys and dolls. A full line of five with the premium doll pays a massive 500x, while other high-payers range from 75x to 200x. The book symbol acts as both Wild and Scatter, substituting for everything and triggering Free Spins when you land three or more.

Bonus Features
Landing 3+ Scatter Wilds gives you 10 Free Spins. At the start, one symbol gets randomly chosen as an Expanding Symbol. When enough of that symbol appears on a reel, it expands to fill all three rows, and it pays anywhere on the reel regardless of paylines. Retrigger with 3+ more Scatters and you get another 10 spins plus an additional expanding symbol, up to a maximum of 9 different ones. Unlimited retriggers, mate.
There is also a four-tier Bonus Buy system. Pay 108x your bet for 1 starting expanding symbol, 170x for 2, 294x for 4, or 535x for 8. That top tier is pricey but starts you with nearly all symbols expanding, which is where the big wins live.
On top of that, you can toggle Chance x2 in the base game. It costs an extra 60% per spin but doubles your odds of triggering the bonus naturally. You cannot use it alongside the Bonus Buy though; it is one or the other. I found myself flipping Chance x2 on during longer sessions just to break up the base game a bit.

RTP, Volatility and Win Potential
96.89% RTP is above average for a high-volatility slot, so that is a decent start. Volatility is rated high, which means dry spells between meaningful wins. The free spins trigger roughly once every 173 spins on average, fairly standard for a Book of game. Max win caps at 7500x your bet.
Honestly, the 7500x ceiling feels a bit low compared to other high-volatility games that push past 10,000x. For the variance you are absorbing, I expected a higher potential reward. Bets range from 0.10 to 34, so the absolute max payout works out around 255,000 in currency units. Decent, but not life-changing if you are playing smaller stakes.
